FEATUREDDATE NIGHTDINNER WITH FRIENDS

In the universe of restaurants San Sabino is chaotic good. As soon as you walk in it projects the buzzy energy of its endlessly trendy patrons, sitting elbow to elbow in the vibrant dining room. The menu follows suit with several dishes embracing cheese and seafood combinations rather than shying away from them. But all of the fuss is worth it. The food at San Sabino is outstanding. Start with my favorite, the Crab and Mortadella Dip, which comes with crusty on the outside, soft on the inside polenta zeppole. Or the Spicy Tuna - a playful bite combining light tuna tartare with a crispy shell of broken arancini. There’s also the instagrammable Octopus Carpaccio, which combines octopus with capocollo and is topped with pickled mustard seeds. For entrees, the Lobster Triangoli, which comes blanketed with a creamy white vodka sauce, is an absolute must, and the Grilled Trout Piccata is a milder and lighter alternative. I suspect that the entire menu masterfully balances textures and flavors while perfectly executing vibrant dishes and I can’t wait to go back and prove my theory.

Who to Bring: They are squeezing as many people as they can in here so keep it to a small group or a fun date.

What to Wear: Keep it trendy!
