Reservations: Available on Resy but very hard to get. After weeks of trying we snagged a 4:30PM reservation. When we arrived there were a handful of people waiting who were seated at the bar immediately. If you can’t snag a rez and you’re comfortable with a bar seat I would arrive around 4pm for (hopefully!) little to no wait.

Experience: My favorite thing about I Sodi is the space. It’s a beautifully simple restaurant that feels elegant and casual at the same time. As one of the first tables seated we were afforded quiet and attentive service. I did notice that the tables are quite close together, so I can imagine a communal feel during the later hours. If you are like me and enjoy your space, go early.

Food: The food at I Sodi is overrated. Yes, I said it. I’ve only been once, so maybe I got a bad hand, but I was not overjoyed the way others have been. The Lemon Pappardelle is very good, as is the lasagna, but they did not blow my mind. I do not reminisce on how amazing they were and wish I could be back in that moment. If you have an opportunity to go, go. Order these two specialties and try them for yourself. I hope you are more impressed than I was.

Who to Bring: I Sodi is a relaxed and almost romantic atmosphere, so it’s a no brainer for a date spot. I also love it for a one on one with a close friend, although your neighbors will likely hear your convo.

What to Wear: Given the relaxed feel of I Sodi, I think you can get away with a lot here. I wouldn’t be too worried about dressing up, but would certainly aim for a clean cut look to match the vibe.

Fried Artichokes, Lasagna, Pappardelle al Limone, Tiramisu
